Volunteer Coordinator

The Volunteer Coordinator must possess exemplary people skills, an ability
to problem solve, basic computer skills and have a flexible schedule.
● Respond to individuals filling out Volunteer Request forms by phone
or email to determine what their interests are and where they would
best fit in for volunteering at LBP.
● Follow up with individual Volunteer Chairpersons for Box office,
50/50, Tech and House Managers to inform them of new volunteers
and the best way of communicating with each of them (some through
email, others by phone)
● Access Sign Up Genius or follow up with individual Volunteer
Chairpersons to address any openings in schedule for 50/50, Tech or
House Managing per show/showcase.
● Work with individual Volunteer Chairpersons to fill any openings in
schedule or step in as needed to fill in for 50/50 or House Managing
as needed per show/showcase.
● Spearhead the planning and execution of the Annual Volunteer
Dinner and twice-yearly Volunteer breakfast.
● File volunteer forms and maintain volunteer records.
● Update Arts People at the end of each play to add current and new
volunteers on appropriate “targeted list”.

● Provide the Business Manager with new volunteer names so badges
can be printed for them.
● Provide the Business Manager with complete list of all volunteers
scheduled for the run of a play production/showcase no later than two
weeks before opening night.
● Work with staff on providing volunteer recognition throughout the
season.
● Arrange for and conduct training of new volunteers.
• Will act as House Manager Coordinator, assigning House Managers
for every performance and showcase.
• Monitor and order all refreshment supplies.
• Responsible for organizing art in the lobby.
• Responsible for coordinating all volunteers for special events.
● Other duties as determined by staff and/or board and approved by
the board.

The Volunteer Coordinator is a paid position at the rate of $15.00/hr. for a
maximum of 30 hours /week.
